BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY Shubert, 225 W. 44 St., TC
Paul Hipp does an amazing impression of the young rocker from Lubbock, Tex., who gave the world ”Peggy Sue” and ”That’ll Be the Day.” Most of the biographical story is a joke, but the eerie re-creation of Buddy’s last concert in Clear Lake, Iowa, always throws audiences into a frenzy. B+
