”If a movie is a dream, then a movie poster is a dream of a dream,” Stephen King writes in his lengthy introduction to Graven Images: The Best of Horror, Fantasy, and Science Fiction Film Art from the Collection of Ronald V. Borst, a collection of horror-movie posters from 1919 to 1968. We don’t know what the heck he meant either, but the artwork collected in Ronald V. Borst, Keith Burns, and Leith Adams’ creepy volume certainly is striking. Our favorite: the French Frankenstein (L’Homme qui crea un monstre). B
