When it comes to bringing in box office bucks, Whoopi Goldberg can give Sylvester Stallone a run for his millions. Goldberg’s latest, the romantic comedy Made in America, may not quite be another Sister Act, but it did hold $ up well in its second week, keeping decent pace with Stallone’s mountaintop hit, Cliffhanger. Despite mixed reviews, the Rebecca De Mornay-Don Johnson courtroom thriller Guilty as Sin opened to a decent $5.7 million at 1,132 screens, though an inconclusive B from audiences polled by CinemaScore indicates that it could fall off quickly. Menace II Society, on the other hand, appears to be holding on-and perhaps even crossing over. The acclaimed inner-city drama went a little wider this weekend and was able to maintain an impressive $6,444 per-screen average. Weekend Gross Weeks in Gross* TOP TEN To Date Release
