7 Wednesday Caught in the Act (NBC, 9-10 p.m.) Dean Stockwell-who must need the work since Quantum Leap got canceled-hosts an I Witness Video-esque special examining how surveillance cameras are used to bust gun runners, elected officials, and other malcontents.

The Larry Sanders Show (HBO, 10-10:30 p.m.) Move over, Suzanne Somers: Money- grubbing side-kick Hank (Jeffrey Tambor) moonlights on a home shopping channel hawking a hazardous exercise machine which claims among its victims Larry’s ex-wife, Francine (Kathryn Harrold).

The Mary Tyler Moore Show (Nick at Nite, 10-11 p.m.) The rerun cycle ends-and begins again. The show’s hug-filled finale is followed by its pilot episode, ”Love Is All Around.”

8 Thursday Club Date (PBS, check local listings) Jazz pianist Hank Jones’ trio performs bebop standards including ”Scrapple From the Apple,” ”Blue Monk,” and ”On Green Dolphin Street.”

Our Favorite Movies: the Pride of the Yankees (TNT, 8-10 p.m.) Bronx Bombers boss George Steinbrenner introduces the 1942 baseball biopic, starring Gary Cooper as stricken slugger Lou Gehrig.

Movie: Deep Trouble (USA, 9-11 p.m.) Robert Wagner (playing a deep-sea diver- yeah, right) and Chariots of Fire’s Ben Cross (improbably cast as a mob boss) are the only non-French actors in this jewel-heist thriller filmed on the Riviera.

9 Friday John Williams Gala Celebration (PBS, check local listings) Richard Dreyfuss emcees this tribute to the film-score composer (Star Wars, E.T., Home Alone, Jurassic Park) who is stepping down as conductor of the Boston Pops after 13 years. Divas Jessye Norman and Aretha Franklin will perform.

Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam (HBO, midnight-12:30 a.m.) The cusswords will be flying again as Martin Lawrence returns to host a new season of the stand-up series spotlighting trash-talking African-American comics.

10 Saturday Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (CBS, 8-9 p.m.) Crooked capitalist tycoons threaten to overrun Colorado Springs in a rerun from last February directed by star Jane Seymour’s new hubby, James Keach (Stacy’s brother).

The Adventurers (Discovery, 10-10:30 p.m.) Lifestyles of the rich and reckless: Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Joe Montana scuba dives with sharks, ex-007 Roger Moore skis down mountains, and popcorn salesman Paul Newman drives cars really fast.

Zalman King’s Red Shoe Diaries (Showtime, 11-11:30 p.m.) The erotic anthology series’ brooding narrator (David Duchovny) finally gets lucky-with a foxy photojournalist played by ex-Twin Peaks corpse Sheryl Lee.

11 Sunday Nickelodeon Weinerville (Nickelodeon, 2-4 p.m.) We’ll spare you the obvious jokes. Comedian Marc Weiner hangs out in a town of half-people, half-puppets in this new kids’ variety show.

Showtime comedy Club All-Stars VII (Showtime, 10-11 p.m.) Tool fool Tim Allen introduces five unknown comics to the crowd at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace.
