Money for Nothing

Genre: Comedy, Action/Adventure; Starring: John Cusack, Michael Madsen, Benicio Del Toro, Debi Mazar; Director: Ramon Menendez; MPAA Rating: R

John Cusack plays a good-hearted but almost terminally stupid down-on-his-luck dockworker who finds a cool million that fell off a truck and then puts a neon sign on his forehead announcing the fact. Well, not exactly, though he might as well have: His character is so utterly dense that Money for Nothing is literally painful to watch — even in the privacy of one’s home — whenever he’s on screen. Fortunately, Michael Madsen is quietly compelling as a droll, street-smart cop, and Debi Mazar is quite fetching in that peculiar blue-collar-vixen way of hers. C
