Planning: Jeff Bridges gets fearless again, playing fabled gunslinger James Butler Hickcok in Wild Bill. The Western, to be written and directed by Walter Hill, will be based on Pete Dexter’s novel Deadwood, Thomas Babe’s play Fathers and Sons, and Ned Wynn’s screenplay also called Wild Bill.
Prepping: Tube heartthrob David Caruso will play a man who infiltrates a car- theft ring run by a hothead criminal (Nicolas Cage) in Barbet Schroeder’s Kiss of Death. Richard Price’s screenplay will not resemble the 1947 film of the same name. Filming starts in New York City in May.
Shooting: Jessica Lange goes to court in Losing Isaiah, playing an adoptive parent trying to retain custody of a child abandoned by his young mother (Halle Berry). The drama is set for an early-’95 release.
