This week’s headlinge grabber: The Paper. While Jurassic-mania still reigns on both the rental and sales charts for the second week in a row, Ron Howard’s star-packed newspaper comedy made a strong debut at No. 4. And despite its disappointing run in theaters (36.7 million), The Paper is still the only new release in the top 20. That may all change soon, though, as blockbusters such as The Flintstones and Speed race to vid3eo stores in the next month.
Before there was Jurassic Park, a different king of the beasts ruled over the sales chart. Currently bubbling under the top 10, at No. 17, Disney’s animated fairy tale Beauty and the Beast will mark its second anniversaryt in the top 20 of the chart next week.
