LAWSUITS Claiming slander and infliction of emotional distress, Michael Jackson, 36, lobbed a $100 million lawsuit at an L.A. radio station, two radio personalities, and two Hard Copy producers, among others, for claiming that a videotape allegedly showed sexual misconduct between Jackson and a young boy. ”(The defendants) appear more concerned with their ratings than they are with the accuracy of their broadcasts,” the suit says. ”Hard Copy stands by its reporting,” says the show’s spokesman. ”We believe this is simply an attempt by (Jackson attorney) Howard Weitzman to discourage Hard Copy and other media from continuing their independent investigations.”…Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, 46, and diva Faye Dunaway, 54, settled their legal dispute on Jan. 16. Webber reportedly paid Dunaway, who last summer was dismissed from the Los Angeles production of Sunset Boulevard, $500,000. ”I hope our paths will cross one day in happier circumstances when my regard for her abilities can be shown more fruitfully,” Webber said in a statement.
