The family of Sarah Savage, 17, still wants Kelsey Grammer to pay. On July 6 in Phoenix, the Savages filed a $19 million suit against the Frasier star, whom they had previously accused of having sex with their underage daughter. Although an investigation last winter by the Somerset County, N.J., prosecutor yielded no charges, the civil suit alleges that Grammer, 41, has since caused them mental anguish by attempting to ”depict the family as dysfunctional and driven by avarice and spite.” ”[T]here is no basis for the allegations,” Grammer said in a statement…. The William Morris Agency wants Burt Reynolds to pay. Its suit, filed June 30 in L.A., claims Reynolds failed to make the first of 24 installments on his $140,415 commission debt to the agency last February. A spokesman for the actor will only comment, ”I guess they don’t want to represent him anymore.”
Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen, 31, on charges of spousal abuse, July 5 at the Los Angeles airport. Allen and his wife, Stacy, 34, had just deplaned when, according to police, he grabbed her by the throat, dragged her into a rest room, struck her head against a wall, and left her. ”I am taking all steps to work through this difficult time,” Allen said in a statement.
