BOYZ MEET GIRL

As if Mariah Carey weren’t big enough on her own, the high-octave diva recruited the world’s reigning vocal combo, Boyz II Men, to help her scale the charts on ”One Sweet Day,” a.k.a. Things to Do in Heaven When You’re Dead. This romantic paean to a dear departed loved one has reached the peak of several Billboard lists – including, now, the adult contemporary radio chart – and you don’t need a Ouija board to guess it’ll be haunting us from here to eternity. But in a video battle between heaven and earth, ”One Sweet Day” is locked out of MTV’s top spot by Coolio’s pro-safe sex ”Too Hot.”
