THE DOORS COLLECTION (1995, MCA/ Universal, unrated, $69.98) The Doors were among the most media savvy of ’60s bands, so it’s no surprise that the previously released (and now remastered) performance compilations anthologized here — Dance on Fire, Soft Parade, and Live at the Hollywood Bowl — hold up so well. For this two-disc package, however, the surviving Doors have provided nonstop commentary (cool revelation: Harrison Ford worked lights during the Hollywood Bowl show). And for real period flavor, there’s the bonus of Ray Manzarek’s two UCLA student Þlms, sweetly pretentious bohemian slices of life. A
