Guilty

Genre: Rock; Producer (group): T

The kids do love their Trent Reznor wannabes, and the debut ”Guilty,” from St. Louis-based first timers Gravity Kills, replicates the scratchy cyborg vocals, hopped-up dance beat, and staticky metal riffs so beloved by Nine Inch Nails fans. But its requisite grand statement of existential absurdity — ”I’m guilty/And you’re guilty too” provokes all the angst of an ill-timed pimple. Stick with the original. C+
