Bruce Willis, Steven Spielberg, and Kermit the Frog offer advice for new graduates

Put a cap and gown on a celeb and you never know what he’s going to say. Take Robert De Niro, for instance, who, while addressing New York University’s graduating class, said: ”This is an honor for me. But it is not really. It’s my day. But it’s really your day.” Which left the grads wondering, Are you talking to me? Here, a sampler of what other Classes of ‘96 heard on commencement day.

Star: Bruce Willis. School: Montclair State (which gave Willis an honorary doctorate). Words of wisdom: ”I’ve been playing doctor with my wife, Demi Moore, for a long time.”

Star: Steven Spielberg. School: NYU. Words of wisdom: ”I have just one thing to say — take the future by storm.” (Spielberg is the exec producer of Twister.)

Star: Kermit the Frog. School: Southampton College of Long Island University. Words of wisdom: ”I am sure that when you were children growing up back in your own swamps or suburbs, you never imagined you would sit here on one of the most important days of your life listening to a short, green, talking frog deliver your commencement address.”
