Recovering Step By Step actor Brandon Call, 19, from gunshot wounds received after an apparent traffic dispute, Sept. 3, in L.A. Call, who plays Patrick Duffy’s son on the ABC series (due to return as a mid-season replacement), was driving home when a gunman shot him in both arms. At press time, police were looking for two suspects. Call was treated at the UCLA Medical Center and released.

Exits Time for Greg Kinnear, 32, to say later to TV. The talk-show host will leave NBC’s Later to pursue a film career, a decision he made after landing a role in the comedy Old Friends, with Jack Nicholson. Kinnear’s final show will be taped Sept. 18; a series of guest hosts will take over until a permanent replacement is named.

Weddings Bon Jovi drummer Hector ”Tico” Torres, 42, and Wonderbra model Eva Herzigova, 23, were married on Sept. 7, in Sea Bright, N.J….

Actor Tom Sizemore (Heat), 34, and actress Maeve Quinlan (The Bold and the Beautiful), 30, tied the knot, both for the first time, Sept. 1, in Winnetka, Ill.

Expecting Clint Eastwood, 66, and his wife, California TV anchor Dina Ruiz, 30, are expecting their first child in January. It will be Ruiz’s first baby; Eastwood has three children from previous relationships.

Splits Vanessa Williams, 33, has separated from her husband and former manager Ramon Hervey, 45, after nine years of marriage. The couple have three children: Melanie, 9, Jillian, 7, and Devin, 3. Williams’ spokesperson gave no reason for the split.

Deaths Pioneering bluegrass musician Bill Monroe, 84, of complications from a stroke, Sept. 9, in Springfield, Tenn….

Veteran TV producer Leonard Katzman, 69, of a heart attack, Sept. 5, in Malibu, Calif. Best known as the executive producer of Dallas, Katzman oversaw more than 300 episodes of the show from 1978 to 1991 and wrote and directed the upcoming reunion special, Dallas: J.R. Returns. Says Linda Gray, who played Sue Ellen Ewing, ”He was a wonderful mentor and a father figure for all of us.”
