Bean - The Album

Genre: Soundtracks; Lead Performer: Various Artists; Producer (group): Mercury Records

Bean mixes old favorites, covers, new songs by new acts, and dialogue that makes little sense apart from the movie. It’s all catchy enough; but 10cc’s ”Art for Art’s Sake” is the only inspired oldie, OMC’s mariachi-horned take on Randy Newman’s ”I Love L.A.” is the only cover that improves on its source, and Blair’s Brit-funk ”Have Fun Go Mad” is the only new tune that rises above the generic.
