Stan and Judy's Kid (Warner Bros.)

Genre: Comedy; Lead Performer: Adam Sandler

The hyperactive comedian serves up 17 songs and sketches on an album that sounds like it was written and recorded in a single afternoon. His musical offerings are dismal, ranging from half clever (the inevitable ”Chanukah Song Pt. II”) to three-quarters moronic (”7 Foot Man”) to all-out vile (”She Comes Home to Me”). Sandler’s skits are better, and nowhere is his unique talent for playing man-child grotesques more giddily applied than in ”Whitey,” a 16-minute exercise in doltish humor. Steve Martin was right: Comedy is not pretty. C
