We gave it an A

There are so many short films on the Web, it’s hard to know where to spend your 10 minutes. Here’s a literal suggestion: Short, directed by Ireland’s Imogen Murphy and showing at AtomFilms (www.atomfilms.com). A more appropriate title might be The Secret Life of Mini-Me, since it’s about a very short man named Marty (Alan Pentony). If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be one yard small, Short’s camera work gives you the perspective—as does Marty, who wants to find a woman who’ll appreciate him as more than just a little pal. When Allison (Lesley Conroy) enters the picture for a hike with Marty and friends, Short becomes a modern tortoise-and-the-hare tale, and Marty discovers he’s not the only one with flaws. Although Short stumbles a bit, the little guy wins the girl—a small victory you can’t help but toast. A
