Horrorscope, the second effort from the young L.A. trio Eve 6, is more confident and accomplished than their first (self titled) LP, but the band’s music and lyrics often still sound labored (”Your heinous highness broke her hymen”). It’s only when they loosen their grip, as on the slinky pop of ”Here’s to the Night” and the sprung punk of ”Amphetamines,” that Eve 6 deliver on their very real promise. B-
