A Tribute to Ozzy

Genre: Rock; Lead Performer: Various Artists

There’s nothing wrong with the concept of an Ozzy Osbourne tribute like A Tribute to Ozzy; it’s just that the B-listers paying homage — Dee Snider, Tim Owens, Lemmy Kilmeister, and Jason Bonham, to name a few — lack the imagination and the chops to reinvent Ozzy’s hits. The lyrics on ”Crazy Train” and ”Paranoid” sound a lot clearer, but the songs are played without a hint of creative flourish. Ozzy karaoke done by these stiffs is hardly a tribute. D
