2000 B.C. (Before Can-I-Bus)

Genre: Hip-Hop/Rap; Lead Performer: Canibus; Status: In Season

Canibus spends much of 2000 B.C. (Before Can-I-Bus) making excuses for his poorly received debut, Can-I-Bus, which was produced by the Fugees’ Wyclef Jean (”You mad at the last album/ … I can’t call it/Motherf—in’ Wyclef spoiled it”). He should’ve expended the energy crafting better tunes. What stands is a dim set of angry raps over anemic backing tracks. This time, the once-promising rhyme rookie has no one to blame but himself.
