News From Hollywood -- John Travolta may star in a ''General's Daughter'' sequel, while ''Friends'''s Matthew Perry has upcoming roles in both ''Servicing Sarah'' and ''The Lazy Private Eye''

Not to be outdone by Friends costar Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry is attached to two feature films, Servicing Sarah and reportedly The Lazy Private Eye. While the latter is still in the script stage, the road comedy Servicing Sarah will shoot later this fall, meaning that Perry, like LeBlanc, who is filming both Friends and the film All the Queen’s Men, will be pulling double duty. ”It’s going to be very tricky working around Friends,” admits Sarah director Reginald Hudlin (The Ladies Man). ”Fortunately, Matthew’s willing to be a workaholic.” How very, er, friendly of him.

John Travolta may be donning fatigues again in a follow-up to The General’s Daughter, which earned more than $100 million at the box office. Producer Mace Neufeld has secured a deal with Paramount to make the sequel. While Neufeld says he’d like to reunite some of the cast, ”it won’t happen before [next spring’s looming SAG] strike.”

Who knew there was a freak shortage in Hollywood? To fill roles for the Touchstone comedy Bubble Boy, which calls for a collection of circus freaks, casting director John Papsidera contacted carnivals and people at the Ripley’s Believe It or Not organization. But when it came to finding a genuine pinhead, Papsidera went directly to Angels in America actor Stephen Spinella. ”I think his agents were like, ‘What?!”’ Papsidera says, ”but I thought he would be brilliant.” Spinella joined on — but will play a man who looks like a chicken, instead.
