Hermes offers cotton canopies in shades like blue jean and bronze ($355-$520); Prada sport gets in the game with no-frills golf umbrellas ($156), and Moschino’s curvy numbers come in hues like petal pink and periwinkle ($55). Cynthia Rowley’s offering ($28), rimmed with doodles of little people, matches her signature dish collection (but we all know it’s bad luck to open umbrellas inside). ”Luxury accessories are very hot…. It’s all about making a status statement,” says Eugenia Ulasewicz, president of Burberry North America. ”And the umbrella makes a great gift. It’s unisex, with no size issues.” Let it rain.
