Set in grimy sweatshops and vacant lots, this loose-limbed anthology spotlights the struggles of Latino immigrants en Nueva York. In crisp black and white, first-time writer-director David Riker starkly delineates the hopes and dashed dreams of shy young lovers, a cash-strapped seamstress, and a homeless father and child.
