Oscar winner Halle Berry is busy being a Bond girl in ”Die Another Day” and prepping for a second ”X-Men” flick, but she’s about to sign on for yet another role: Berry will play a twisted psychiatrist in the thriller ”Need,” Variety reports. In the ”Fatal Attraction”-style movie, Berry’s character torments a depressed patient who’s having an affair with her husband. The movie was written by Chloe King, the woman responsible for the low-budget sequel ”Poison Ivy II.” Hopefully, copious tears will ensue….

Jackie Chan, meanwhile, will star in a remake of Jules Verne’s ”Around the World in 80 Days,” which first appeared on film in 1956, according to Variety. In the movie, set during the Industrial Revolution, Chan will play a thief who takes refuge with a man who’s made a bet that he can traverse the world in, oh, about 80 days. Expect much butt-kicking on hot-air balloons….

Geoffrey Rush (”Shine”) is in negotiations to costar with Johnny Depp in Disney’s live-action adaptation of its beloved theme-park ride, ”Pirates of the Carribean.” Apparently, the animatronic figures who star in the ride were demanding too much money.
