The same day, Dharma & Greg’s Thomas Gibson, 40, and homemaker wife Cristina, 36, welcomed their second child, 8-pound 14-ounce Travis Carter. Son J.P. is 3.

WEDDINGS She’s no runaway bride. At midnight July 4, in Taos, N.M., Julia Roberts, 34, wed The Mexican cameraman Daniel Moder, 33. Roberts, who split with actor beau Benjamin Bratt last year, was briefly wed to singer Lyle Lovett in the mid-’90s; Moder was divorced from Vera Steimberg, his makeup-artist wife of five years, in May…. Also on July 4, Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell, 42, married ballet dancer Charles Askegard, 33. This is her first marriage, his second.

SPLITS On July 9, a spokeswoman for Touched by an Angel’s Valerie Bertinelli, 42, confirmed that the actress and rocker Eddie Van Halen, 47, separated in October. The couple, wed for 21 years, have a son, Wolfgang, 11.

AILING On July 3, rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne, 49, underwent surgery in L.A. for colon cancer. She’s expected to fully recover, said her spokeswoman. The Osbournes’ second season on MTV is still slated for fall…. On June 26, Baywatch producer-star David Hasselhoff, 50, checked into the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. In a July 8 statement, a publicist said the actor ”realized his social drinking had increased.”… On July 10, The Price Is Right host Bob Barker, 78, underwent a prostate procedure in Washington, D.C.

Off Broadway producer Lore Noto, 79, who oversaw The Fantasticks’ record run of nearly 42 years, of complications from lymphoma, July 8, in New York City…. Director John Frankenheimer, 72, of complications from spinal surgery, July 6, in L.A.
