Who’s the least idle person on ”American Idol”? Maybe it’s Ryan Seacrest. The ”Idol” host, who also has his own syndicated radio show and is currently filling in for Rick Dees on his radio program, is in talks to develop a daytime talk show, according to the Hollywood Reporter. He’s in talks with Twentieth Television, the trade paper reports, to host a syndicated daytime chatfest.

Details of the Seacrest talker’s format were sketchy. The show will reportedly be built around Seacrest’s sparkling personality and incisive interview skills but will not be bound to the traditional studio setting. (In other words, expect person-on-the-street interview segments.) No word on whether he’ll also let Simon heckle him from the bleachers.
