Wedding bells are ringing for Melissa Etheridge. (No, it’s not David Crosby). The rocker’s publicist announced Tuesday that she’ll tie the knot at the end of this year with her girlfriend of two years, actress Tammy Lynn Michaels. ”This is the first wedding for both of them,” Etheridge’s publicist, Marcel Pariseau, told the Associated Press. Pariseau was mum on details, except to say that the ceremony would take place in Los Angeles, where the couple live (not, say, in Vermont, where they could make it legal).
Michaels, 28, is best known as one of the stars of the WB’s short-lived teen spoof ”Popular.” She’s due to appear opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt in the film ”Why Can’t I Be Audrey Hepburn,” due in 2004.
Etheridge, 41, and her partner of 12 years, Julie Cypher, split in 2000, with Etheridge chronicling their breakup on her album ”Skin” the following year. The two share custody of the daughter and son borne by Cypher, the products of sperm donations by rocker Crosby.
