On July 31, she accepted an apology from London’s Daily Mail for falsely suggesting she’d had an affair with actor Jude Law. The tabloid was also ordered to pay unspecified damages…. Elizabeth Taylor, 71, and her butler, Jean-Luc Lacquement, are being sued by the actress’ former landscaper, Willem Van Muyden. In a lawsuit filed July 28, the gardener alleges that he was fired for rejecting the advances of Lacquement, who he claims sexually harassed him. He is asking $294,000 for unpaid services and unspecified damages. Reps for Taylor and Lacquement termed the suit a ”fiction” and a ”fabrication.”
