Jennifer Lopez isn’t too good at keeping secrets. As with her abortive wedding to Ben Affleck, details about her projected daytime talk show have been leaking out for three months. Now, syndicator Universal television has made it official, announcing a fall 2004 debut date for the hour-long chatfest, which J. Lo will produce and which her sister, New York TV entertainment reporter Lynda Lopez, will host.

L. Lo will lead a panel of young female hosts on the yet-to-be-titled show, which will focus on pop culture, celebrity, news, lifestyle, and beauty and fashion. In other words, it’ll be like ABC’s ”The View,” only with hopes of skewing toward an audience of younger women. Big sis Jennifer will appear on the show only occasionally but promises to be hands-on as a producer. ”Our goal from the onset was to produce good, quality material that would appeal to a broad audience,” she said in a statment. ”A talk show hosted by a group of smart women with diverse opinions and varied interests is tremendously exciting. We are going to have a lot of fun.”
