Britney Spears’ little sister is about to graduate. Already a cast member of the Nickelodeon sketch series ”All That,” Jamie-Lynn Spears has been given her very own series on the network. The as-yet-untitled series will air sometime next year.

The comedy, which is scheduled to air in prime time, will follow the 12-year-old Spears on her adventures in boarding school. Nickelodeon has yet to announce other details about the show, but is confident enough about Spears to order 13 episodes.

Spears is on her way to surpassing her sexy older sister, who was just an ensemble player on ”The Mickey Mouse Club” when she joined that series at age 11. We can only hope the younger Spears, whom Britney cast in her 2002 flop ”Crossroads,” will remember that, unlike her big sister, she’s still a girl, not yet a woman.
