EW remembers Ann Miller

An exuberant, athletic hoofer, Ann Miller, who was in her 80s when she died of lung cancer on Jan. 22 in L.A., tapped her way through such golden-age movie musicals as Easter Parade (1948) and 1949’s On the Town. She made a memorable comeback on Broadway in 1979’s Sugar Babies, whose costar Mickey Rooney gushes, ”Everything about her was wonderful.”
