The fate of ''Sex and the City'''s fab frocks

The fate of ''Sex and the City'''s fab frocks - Leftover clothes, accessories, and, yes, shoes from the show were up for grabs at a New York consignment boutique

Bereft Sex and the City fans are indulging in nostalgic retail therapy. And the shopping has gotten as fierce as Charlotte’s Vera Wang salon outing. Fans mobbed NYC consignment boutique Ina (where Sex costumer Pat Field shops) for March 11’s one-day sale of items from the show, snapping up everything from flower pins to the suede patchwork coat Carrie wore when she met Aidan. Meanwhile, eBay held a 10-day charity auction of such souvenirs as Charlotte’s Badgley Mischka wedding gown ($5,600, wine stains included), Samantha’s French maid outfit ($940), and Miranda’s wedding bouquet ($960). Says eBay style director Constance White: ”The designers, the celebrity connectionit’s the recipe for a fashion frenzy.” – Alice M. Lee
