Which movie actors over 60 still have their mojo?

I’d like to know your opinion on which actors over the age of 60 have retained their juice. — Susan Gordon

I’m tempted to ask, Which of them haven’t? The premise of your question seems to be that high-octane acting mojo is a quality that diminishes over time, like sexual potency or hair follicles. The truth is that on any given day, I’d probably be far happier walking into a screening of a movie that stars Michael Caine (age 71), Jack Nicholson (66), Dustin Hoffman (66), Paul Newman (79), Robert De Niro (60), Gene Hackman (74), Morgan Freeman (66), Al Pacino (63), or Marlon Brando (who turned 80 last week) than one featuring the scruffy-punk cover boy of the month. (In a showdown, could Hackman’s wryly wrinkled dimples beat up Viggo Mortensen’s cheekbones? Tobey Maguire’s gawk? Brad Pitt’s aging-golden-teen-god aura? Absolutely!) Of course, ”juice” in the movies is now measured by youthful glamour, but what the word really connotes is emotional vivacity. For that, give me some old-timer religion.
