MUSTWORTHINESS The electric Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning rockumentary explores the friendship – and bitter rivalry – between two indie rock musicians: Anton Newcombe, self-destructive frontman for the Brian Jonestown Massacre, and the more even-tempered (and far more famous) Courtney Taylor of the Dandy Warhols.
”DIG!” ER, CUT! Director Ondi Timoner, 30, filmed the bands from 1996 to 2003, and ended up with nearly 1,500 hours of footage. ”Let’s just say my new favorite letters are D, V, and D,” says Timoner.
NEXT ”DIG!” hits theaters in October and the Sundance Channel in early November.
