Two of the hottest indie film soundtracks

Two of the most satisfying soundtracks since the last O.C. mix. Wicker Park is a sublimely downbeat 17-track comp featuring indie faves like Broken Social Scene and Death Cab for Cutie. While less distinctive, Garden State also wrings beauty from the bittersweet, courtesy of contributions by Coldplay and the Shins. But it loses points for achieving the impossible: making a downer out of the Postal Service’s fluffy ”Such Great Heights.” Thanks a lot, Iron and Wine! Wicker: A Garden: B
