Napoleon Dynamite could be the result of a bet to concoct the least appealing movie character possible. A crystallization of the worst parts of every awkward high school student, Napoleon (Jon Heder), a white-Afro-rocking, moon-boot-wearing nerd, is clueless. So are most of the people in his tiny Idaho town, including his skeezy uncle (Jon Gries) and Internet-obsessed brother (Aaron Ruell), who try to make ”sweet cash” selling 24-piece Tupperware sets. Most of the story involves absurd situations that condescend to the hapless characters. You’ll find it funny but then hate yourself for laughing out loud.

EXTRAS Four deleted scenes, a boring short, a barely-there making-of whose only purpose is to inform you how much the actors love the movie, and an uninformative commentary make for a disappointing package.
