Hey, Mr. Tambourine Man, what’s with all the Euro rockers channeling ’60s California lately? Following the Thrills’ so-so attempts to honor the Beach Boys, these Liverpudlians revive the harmonious sound of the Byrds with more substantive flair on their album, ALl Years Leaving. The title track’s delicate, folksy songcraft stirs a warmhearted memory without buckling to dusty nostalgia. Sure, Stands singer Howie Payne’s creaky emoting on slight lines like ”Is this the day for loving/It’s been so long since you’ve been loved” sounds like flower-child muck, but his lilting melodies will charm your hippie-lovin’ pants off anyway.
