MOVIES In 2002’s The Good Girl, Jennifer Aniston proved she wasn’t afraid of a little grit. Now, in Nicole Holofcener’s (Lovely & Amazing) comedy Friends With Money, Ms. Separated-From-Brad is scrubbing it! ”The movie’s about four friends,” says producer Anthony Bregman about characters played by Aniston, Frances McDormand, Catherine Keener, and Joan Cusack. Jennifer’s ”doesn’t have the money everyone else does. She cleans houses for a living.” Picture it: Aniston with a toilet brush!… ”I’ve been cooking for the past three and a half years, waiting for my turn,” says Wilmer Valderrama. It’s your turn now, Willy! In addition to signing for an eighth season on Fox’s That ’70s Show, Valderrama will host and produce MTV’s Your Momma’s So Fat, a contest for America’s best s—talkers; has wrapped a part in the Winona Ryder -Joseph Fiennes comedy Darwin Awards; and just started shooting El Muerto, a comic-book-derived indie written and directed by Brian Cox, in which he takes on some mean Aztec gods. ”I wear a mariachi suit with a skull on the back,” he boasts. ”Pretty badass! Pretty badass!”

TELEVISION Bret Michaels did not don all those cowboy hats and bandannas in vain! Here’s hoping the Poison frontman/solo artist will wear both as a judge on the third season of USA’s Nashville Star (March 1). ”I’m a rocker who loves country music,” he says, calling from Tennessee, where he’s finishing his latest CD, Freedom of Sound. ”I am going to get up out of that chair and tell these people: ‘You’d better be passionate, because if you just want to be a Milli Vanilli that they dress up and write songs for, you’re going to have a miserable life.”’ Simon Cowell in a Stetson? ”No, no!” Michaels pleads. ”I’m the opposite. I am artist-friendly.”

BOOKS On top of working on scripts for season 2 of FX’s Rescue Me, Denis Leary will also toss off Kiss My Irish Ass for Viking Penguin, a bunch of rants ranging from ”steroids in baseball” to ”why the world hates us,” he says. ”Which means Anna Nicole Smith,” he adds, ”because I think that’s the main reason.”
