The Bone Brothers

Genre: R&B; Producer (group): Koch; Status: In Season

Eazy-E inspired the rap aspirations — and the massive forearm tattoo — of the Game, but the N.W.A. founder’s first protégés were Cleveland’s Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, who rocked the ’90s with syncopated sing-song classics like ”1st of the Month” and ”Tha Crossroads.”Now two former BTNHers, Layzie Bone and Bizzy Bone, are scoping a come-back as the Bone Brothers. But with only one memorable song (the silky, Isley Brothers-sampling ”Need Your Body”) on an album filled with tired old beats, it feels like they’re at the cross-roads of Faded Glory and Has Been.
