While Tweet is best known for slithering, Timba-land-produced club hits like ”Oops (Oh My),” those who gave 2002’s dynamic Southern Hummingbird a whirl know that her forte is actually delicate despair. This follow-up, however, has lesser peaks and deeper valleys than its predecessor. Tweet’s vocal collages can still make for seductive mood pieces (the Taxi-theme-sampling ”Cab Ride”), but too many of these fluttering tunes never quite get off the ground.
