We gave it a B+

Hailing from America’s biggest university town, it’s fitting that this Boston trio’s debut has an earnest collegiate vibe — from clunky but heartfelt agitprop (”Memorial Day”), to poetic romance (”Love Letters”), to Afrocentric empowerment (”Black Dialogue”). Beyond the liberal-arts requirements, there’s a bone-shaking kegger jam, ”Party Hard,” perhaps the only hip-hop song with an antismoking message.
