Which daytime TV host had the best Halloween costume?

Alas, we couldn’t find any pictures of Martha Stewart dressed up as Jane (as in Tarzan and…) on yesterday’s Martha, or Ellen DeGeneres as Don Quixote (complete with nag) on Ellen, but they were two of many daytime hosts who proved good sports on Halloween. Check out these pics of some of the others:

Today: Matt Lauer and Al Roker were Batman and Robin; Ann Curry was Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and Katie Couric was Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Not as embarrassing or daring as the campy getups of years past (for some reason, I remember Matt as Jennifer Lopez, in that plunging green Grammy gown – is that just my twisted psyche or did that really happen?). Still, Matt and Al get extra points for rappelling down the side of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

The Tyra Banks Show: Tyra Banks dressed as Paris Hilton, but with a fake chihuahua since she’s got dog allergies. Actually, she made a better Paris than Paris. Yikes.

Live with Regis and Kelly: OMG, Philbin and Ripa went far above and beyond the call of duty, going through at least five celebrity-themed costume changes: They were Brangelina, John O’Hurley and Kelly Monaco, Mary-Kate (Kelly) and Ashley (Reege) Olsen, and Bo Bice (Reege) and Clay Aiken (Kelly). Enough! We’re not worthy! Bonus points for the Carmen Electra (Art Moore) and Dave Navarro (Gelman) combo. Talk about scary!
