Wild Atlanta rappers D-Roc and Kaine try to change things up by bringing Wyclef Jean into the fold, but their fifth LP, Chemically Imbalanced, is just another batch of strip-club-ready anthems. Despite its hilarious title, ”1st Booty on Duty” poorly recycles the hushed beat from the Ying Yang Twins’ hit ”Wait (The Whisper Song).” And ill-advised distorted guitars give ”Water” and ”Dangerous” a ghastly rap-rock feel. After eight years of lewdness, this pair seem bored — as if they’ve seen one pole dance too many. We’re bored too.
