(FROM BILLBOARD) ? Yahoo! is dropping its subscription music service and teaming with Rhapsody America, the two companies announced on Monday (Feb. 4). The new model will have Yahoo! promoting the Rhapsody subscription music service on its site and integrated into its Yahoo Music channel. The companies said they will also be developing new ways to collaborate, such as music downloads. In coming months, Yahoo Music Unlimited subscribers will have the option of moving to the Rhapsody service, which will maintain Yahoo! subscription prices for a limited time. Neither Rhapsody nor Yahoo! would reveal how many subscribers they have. (Billboard)
