Amanda Peet, Oliver Platt in Holofcener film

(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) ? Amanda Peet and Oliver Platt are starring in writer-director Nicole Holofcener’s untitled dramatic comedy. The duo join Catherine Keener in the film, about a group of neighbors living together in a New York apartment building, including a woman (Keener) and her husband (Platt) who own the unit next door, occupied by a cantankerous elderly woman. When the woman dies, the couple try to claim the apartment but run into interference from the woman’s granddaughters, played by Peet and Rebecca Hall. Shooting is scheduled to start next month.

Keener starred in all three of Holofcener’s previous features: 2006’s Friends With Money, 2001’s Lovely and Amazing, and 1996’s Walking and Talking. Peet is set to appear in the upcoming X-Files movie, and the crime drama Real Men Cry, opposite Ethan Hawke. Platt and Hall both star in the movie adaptation of Frost/Nixon, and Platt will appear in Harold Ramis’ Year One. Hall is in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona. (Hollywood Reporter)
