Former Sen. D'Amato in court show pilot

(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) ? Twentieth Television is preparing to shoot a pilot for a potential court show featuring Alfonse D’Amato, the former U.S. Senator from New York. The show will have D’Amato on the bench in small claims court, which plays into his reputation as a legislator who would meet with constituents about any issue, no matter how modest — hence his nickname ”Senator Pothole.” The former Republican Senator, who served from 1981-99, is expected to bring his sense of humor and larger-than-life personality to the bench for the show. Twentieth already distributes Cristina’s Court, Judge Alex, and Divorce Court. (Hollywood Reporter)
