'Kath & Kim' gets full-season order

It’s hardly attracting the masses–it’s barely even cracking the top 50–but Kath & Kim is here to stay, at least for the season. NBC announced that it has picked up the back nine episodes of the comedy that stars Molly Shannon and Selma Blair as an eccentric mother-daughter duo. After four weeks, the comedy has held onto 100 percent of its adults 18-49 lead-in from My Name is Earl (2.6 rating/6 share) and is averaging 6 million viewers.

NBC has already ordered a full season of Knight Rider, the kitchy redux of the ’80s drama. It has averaged 7.4 million viewers. The net has yet to announce, however, whether it will pick up the back nine episodes of My Own Worst Enemy starring Christian Slater. The drama has only averaged 6.5 million viewers and is ranked No. 63, but that’s still better than Kath & Kim, which is ranked No. 65.
