'Superbowl Shuffle': Still poignant after all these years

In honor of the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl XX victory on this date in 1986, PopWatch presents a triumph in the fields of halfhearted dancing and amateur “rap”: The Superbowl Shuffle! I’ll spare you the embarrassing video footage of fellow Chicagoans Mike Bruno, Jason Adams, and Adam Markovitz (and me) attempting the Shuffle in a terrified EW hallway and instead embed the real thing, below. Don’t miss Maury Buford’s soulful cowbell efforts at 1:45.

IMPORTANT: Does any mid-’80s Chicago dweller remember a one-off Chicago Bears TV special entitled “Bears Say No to Drugs?” I can’t find it anywhere online, and my family somehow lost the VHS. The show featured drugs vaguely resembling Everlasting Gobstoppers and taught me the word “dramatization.” It was absolutely formative. Please help.
