With no pigskin on the menu all weekend, CBS returned to its regular business of world domination. That included its standard Friday victory thanks to standbys like Ghost Whisperer (11.3 million viewers), according to early Nielsen estimates, as well as a win in the battle of Sunday night movies: Hallmark’s unlikely-romance drama Loving Leah (11.7 million) outdrew NBC’s quest-for-holy-relic adventure The Last Templar (9.9 million). Only ABC’s two-hour Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (11.6 million) gave the Eye a run for its money. CBS made a decent-for-Saturday showing with 48 Hours Mystery (7.2 million), but couldn’t wrest the dead-zone crown from Fox, which always takes the night thanks to double shots of Cops (5.6 million and 6.3 million).
