Morgan Creek Productions has filed a lawsuit against Amaru Entertainment, the company run by Tupac Shakur’s mother Afeni, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Morgan Creek alleges that Amaru Entertainment sold it the rights to make a film about the late rapper’s life, only to back out after the deal was settled. Amaru’s lawyers, who deny that there was ever any formal agreement with Morgan Creek, tell The Hollywood Reporter they may countersue.
